Overview
After spending a night hearing the roaring thunder of high glacial calving activity, I kayaked up Pederson Lagoon in Aialak Bay. I encountered this large blue ice berg as it headed swiftly in my direction with the tidal flow. You cannot see them in this photograph, but there are harbor seals all around. They must have a sixth sense, as they all ducked milliseconds before the shutter clicked!
