This sub adult female humpback whale left her male companions to closely approach this whale watch passenger vessel several times. In Hawaii, vessel operators endearingly call this close approach behavior initiated by the whale being "mugged". Passengers (like me) lucky enough to have an underwater camera--and to have the presence of mind---plunged cameras over the side of the boat to photograph one of her passes.
